Here is my project for our red and green challenge:

I decided to use my Imagine to make my project as this is my newest toy and I can't stop playing with it! I used the Snow Angel Imagine cartridge for this card. Some of the details on this card won't convey in the photo, however I will tell you about all the little things I did to make this card come together. I printed the deer and Christmas tree in layers and assembled all the pieces together. I also printed one of the ornaments from the cartridge as well. I then printed a piece of one of the decorative papers from the cartridge. Everything was printed on Bazzill Simply Smooth 12x12 in white. For the card base I cut a piece of the printed paper from the Imagine and and piece of vellum cut to size and layered that on top of the card front. I then took a piece of 1/2" Scor Tape and laided that over where the two papers met. Once that was in place, I removed the covering on the Scor Tape and sprinkled glitter onto it and burnished it with my fingertip. (I often use this technique when I don't feel like messing around with ribbon.) I then attached all my card elements to the front of my card. For my final touches I used icicle stickles on the tree, I used my copic spica markers on the ornaments on the tree and the eye of the deer and the deer's ear, and I used my Gelly Roll Stardust glitter pen to highlight some of the details on the ornament/sentiment. I also used my WRMK chomper to round the corners. This is a great tool and everyone should have one! I hope you enjoyed my quick and easy card. And please don't forget to leave a comment and tell me your favorite Holiday movie for a chance to win the Xyron 150 in Zebra print!

Martha Stewart Craft Projects Review

Have you ever been glad you were just a natural crafter? I know I am! I have had this Martha Stewart wreath kit (and actually have two more) for well over a year and I decided to put together one of these for a decoration in my home. The kit comes with directions, however very evasive at best. It comes with all the leaves on bendable wires, floral tape, a chip board circle, and a piece of ribbon. For the most part, I really had to figure out some stuff on my own. My first discovery was the wreath looks better if you use the floral tape to cover the entire chip board ring/circle. I also figured out that is was easier if you attached three sets of leaves of three to each other and apply to the chip board ring/circle. And it so does not tell you how to attach the piece of ribbon for hanging, however I did it! And although this may not convey in the pic, I added glitter to some of the tips of the leaves because I always need to make everything "my own" and I am a girly girl and love me some bling! This is not a great project for a beginning crafter, as you will set it aside or just pitch in the trash. Do you have one of those.............I am so glad I am a natural crafter moments? Please share!!

I Met An Angel-My Grand Daughter Jadelyn!

My daughter in law surprised me today and brought my first biological grand baby girl, Jadelyn to visit me! She is so stinking cute and looks like my son. It is all so surreal for me to see new life in my family like this. I also presented Carrie with the paper keepsake paper scrapbook album I made for her and my son with some early photos of pregnancy and birth. Now to do the big scrapbook albums!

Cricut Imagine, Me, & A Special Little Girl

jadelyn lo rev

I am one lucky Cricut Circle Member, as at CHA Summer 2010, I was gifted an Imagine by Provo Craft. I have had it for about two weeks now and have completed my first layout using my Imagine. My subject was my new grand baby girl, Jadelyn. I think she is so stinking cute and am going to love scrapping all her photos. I have a large stack and I really need to get cracking, as babies grow up so very fast! Trust me, as a Mom I am still in awe that my children are all grown up and gone and just miss them so much!

A Tender Moment With Tigger

A lot of my friends know that Tigger, my beloved male Orange Tabby, has been diagnosed with cancer shortly after I returned from CHA. He has become such the lap cat lately. He usually does not like to snuggle until it is cold outside, so while it is warm, I do not usually have the pleasure of having him on my lap. Although he is over 26 lbs and a mega huge boy, and takes up way more than my lap. Here is one of our "lap cat" moments and I snapped a picture with my iPhone. He has his face on my arm, as well as his paw. You can see the fur is starting to grow back where he had his IV. I always tell him he looks cute and has a little fur boot!

Grand Mother Love..........

I have not posted much lately. The whole life thing often gets in the way. Tomorrow I am going to an all day crop and my goal is to scrap some of those pics of my new grand baby girl in a little album for my son and daughter in law. I am on a mission and this album will be a bit more simple than most of my work, however the idea is to just get a keepsake done. My new Cricut Imagine arrived this afternoon and I have already cut and colored some items for this mini album. Wish me luck, as I hope the new parents will love it forever and I can crank it out in a day! Don't you think new grand baby girl is just the cutest thing you have ever seen? I think so, however she is my 1st biological grand baby, and I am a bit!

Another Ecstasy Crafts Card

This is another Ecstasy Crafts item that adds more to the card. This is a 5X7 card with a red glitter topper. Stickles were added to the Ecstasy Craft product after putting it together with foam dots and adhering it to the red glitter topper. I then chose one of the "Merry Christmas" gold sentiments and colored it with my copic marker R59 to match the reds in my card. This was very simple again, however adding more of a personal touch. I have more projects in mind, for the crafters that want to do more complicated cards. Again, I could have added more to this, however it is still simple and easy. All these items are for sale at Cutters Creek, please come check them out!

Ecstasy Crafts Kits Made Into Cards

These are two very simple cards I made with the new Ecstasy Crafts Kits Cutters Creek is now selling. I will do some more invloved projects with the items I have put together, however I wanted to show that even beginners can put these together and adhere them to a card front and call it a day. Combined, these two cards took me fifteen minutes at most to do. I love sitting in front of the TV and popping the layers out (no scissors needed!) and building them up with foam squares and putting them in a Lock & Lock container for later use. Even these simple cards make you look like a super star!! Each project is numbered on how to build it, so you can't go wrong with these and they are so gorgeous, yet very inexpensive. And don't forget to check out the peel off sayings and embellishments. You can color these right in the sheet (if you want to change the color) with copics and match your colors!

Yahoo Is Acting Wonky!!

Here is the picture of the tote giveaway going on at Cutters Creek and my wonderful customers can't see the the photo in the group.

Our New Edition to the Family

I haven't blogged in a while. Life has been so crazy and my online store Cutters Creek, has been crazy busy! I have been shipping out eCrafts for two weeks now and more arrived today. I seem to eat & sleep shipping. However after the extremely long wait for the eCraft machine from Craftwell, I sure do have some very happy customers out there. They are cutting their hearts out and sharing their findings in my eCraft yahoo group and love all the updates I have been giving them in the group regarding the shipping of their machines. A lot of them are now stalking UPS!

So during all this craziness, we adopted another cockatiel named Sunset. She is seven and is the sweetest bird. She loves kisses and loves her head and back stroked. She is so beautiful in person and we are falling in love with her already. So is my male cockatiel, Bailey. He has taken to hanging upside down like a bat, to get her attention. I call Sunset "pretty girl" and now Bailey is saying "pretty girl" when I appoach her cage. I think he has got it bad for her!

My Marine & His Daughter

How surreal to see my baby holding his baby. My son just returned for Afghanistan a few days ago and met his daughter that was born a couple weeks ago. I use to do the same thing with him. I would feed him and lay down on the couch and he would fall asleep on my chest, listening to my heart beat, much like when he was in utero. And isn't his step daughter stinking cute?!?!? She has also won my heart over!

Me & Anna Griffin.....Long Live the Queen

I have sooooooooooo neglected my blog! Traveling to CHA and then trying to ship orders and load new products in my store, has got the best of me! Last year I took a pic with Tim Holtz and this year, I thought I was going to die when I spotted Anna Griffin in her booth at CHA! I personally own so much of her items and love, love, love them!!!! To me, she is the Queen of paper crafting and I am her unworthy servant and will cherish this photo for the rest of my life.

Thank you Anna!!!! I am so not worthy!!!

Craftwell's eCraft Is On FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you heard? It's coming! The long awaited eCraft!!!! Everyone has been waiting for this newest, sleekest, very innovative machine to hit the market and the wait is almost over! The first buyers should start seeing their machine arrive in the next coming weeks. And the people who have been buying in such a fevered pitch this week will see their machines in approx another month. Craftwell is all done tweeking, they are wonderful machines in gorgeous colors, and Craftwell has so improved these beauties over this last year, however kept the vision and the concept of the machine intact. This new machine is going to blow your socks off!! Another bonus is the addition of the Pro Software being added to the introductory offer. WOW!!! I am so excited for my customers, I can barely contain myself. And why is everyone snapping these out of stores every where? It might be a $259 price tag for a machine that has so many extras included in the introductory offer. Or it could be that with all the new upgrades and the addition of the Pro Software, that introductory price tag goes up Saturday July 24th to $349. My store still has some left at the $259 price until Friday, so head over to Cutters Creek and reserve your pre order machine now before it is too late! You are going to L-O-V-E these machines!!

New eCraft Color from Craftwell

Here is the newest color coming from Craftwell in the eCraft machine. It is called Skye. Isn't it pretty? And.........................

I just got off the phone with Paul at Craftwell and there are some very exciting things that have happened to the new machines! The firmware has already been updated with more options, the tray configuration has been changed, the manual paper feed has been changed, the blades and pens have been changed, the LCD screen has been changed, and many more enhancements have been made. These changes were all done according to your wants and desires and also beta tester feedback. There are so many more things that have been done that I just can't say right now, however I will tell you that you will be so glad that Craftwell delayed the release of these machines because your will LOVE all the changes, especially all of you that have placed pre orders already.

The eCraft by Craftwell

The much anticipated release of the eCraft by Craftwell has been delayed, to most crafters chagrin. Let me be the first to tell you that Craftwell as made some much wanted changes to their machine. So please don't be sad, be happy!! the first machines should be in crafter's hands by early July. Craftwell is listening to their market and they are truly going to BLOW your socks OFF! It has been well known that they have made changes to the look of the machines, however they have so much more up their sleeve and personally, I have a renewed excitement! I can tell you the roller is now larger and the machine is just a tad wider. I can also tell you that if you are REALLY interested in this machine, and you have a favorite store that is giving you the introductory offer like Cutters Creek, RUN don't walk!! You will be happy you did, AND your machine will have some new things going on that well........I just can't tell you. If you are just a casual reader of my blog and not a customer of Cutters Creek, than you don't know that I never steer my customers wrong. Trust me, the eCraft is about to get better than what you know and better than anything you have read on the internet.
