Happy Early Thanksgiving!
As a parent, I don't think you are allowed to have a favorite child. However I am pretty sure as a grand parent, you are allowed to have a favorite grand child, right? I certainly have a favorite and she is the apple of my eye. Every time I walk past one of the many photos of her around my home, I smile. Every time I hear her voice, it makes my heart just explode. I have started sending her holiday cards and I am finding this very fun! I have started also including a package of stickers with the card too. I never get to see her open the cards, so I hope it makes her happy and makes her smile when she gets a card from grandma just like she makes me smile. Here is the card I made for her this weekend to send off tomorrow with some extras:
Isn't this just the cutest card? I like how it turned out and I made her some Sesame Street characters to put in with her package of stickers. I made this using my Cricut Explore. I just love the print and cut feature! And to make up for the lack of dimension because I did not paper piece these, I cut two of everything (except the leaves and sentiment) and layered them with foam squares. The interior has a turkey with another leaf. All the elements on my card are from Create A Critter 2 and the Sesame Street characters are from Sesame Street Seasons.
I hope you enjoyed my simple and easy card! It really came together in a flash using my Cricut Explore. Please feel free to leave me a comment.
