Scrapbooking Using Sketches
Are you a scrapbooker that needs inspiration, or do you march to the beat of your own drummer? I am one of those people that see scrapbook layouts dancing in my head and I have never sought out other layouts for my inspiration. My pages just come to me. Yesterday I actually tried scrapping using a sketch. My thought behind it was to try something a little different and see what it was like. It was actually a lot of fun! Since I had a "map" to follow, all I really needed to do was choose my papers and embellishments. This was the sketch I used:
This sketch is from ScrapMuch?. I thought this would be an interesting way to do my pages a little differently and add some fun to my scrapbooks. This time I pretty much stuck to the sketch, however next time I will probably add some tweaks that will bring more of me to the forefront. This is the completed layout:
I am actually going to add one more element to this page on the bottom. I am going to do a journaling block, however I did want to show what the completed page looked like with just the sketch elements. The embellishments are Three Birds and Dazzles, the ribbon is American Crafts, and the papers are American Crafts and Bazzill (which is now also American Crafts).
I hope you enjoyed my layout using a sketch. Leave me a comment and let me know how you approach your scrapbook pages.
