For the last page, I wanted to pay tribute to the two friends of the wedding couple who worked the entire wedding to capture their memories that will last them a lifetime. While everyone was socializing, drinking, and eating these two were taking photos like crazy! I know that I myself developed approx 1,000 of the photos they took. Thank you Becky & Brian!

My project today, is an 8"x8" scrapbook page:
This is going to be the introductory page of my granddaughter’s scrapbook that will go to my son and his wife as a keepsake. For the main focus of the page I used an Ecstasy Crafts decoupage item from the Baby and Birth collection. Once that was put together and placed on the page, I added her name. I then moved on to items that needed to be put together and needed some drying time. I picked out four solid colors of Flower Soft that matched the coloring of my page and got my Flower Soft wires out. This is where I had a bit of fun and made my own version of a Flower Soft mixed colors. The colors I used were lilac, baby pink, sunshine yellow and pale green. I pinched in a bit of each color in a bowl until I got the color I wanted and mixed it all up well. I then cut out a pot from the Garden Pots & Urns topper collection and inked the edges in silver and also used my scissors to give it a bit of a curve to insert the stems. I took my Grape Designer Stickles and added the purple bling to the pot and did some accenting with my Stardust Pure Glitter Pen and set this aside to dry. I next started creating my Flower Soft flower stems and cut my Flower Soft wires in four pieces and used two wires (a total of eight stems). I applied my glue to the Flower Soft wires and sprinkled my newly created color on each one. Also while the glue was still wet, I sprinkled some darker purple glitter to add some more sparkle. (A girl can never have too much bling!) I put each stem in my sponge to dry and when they were dry, I tapped off each one of them. Remember, Flower Soft does not shed, so it is important to tap off your project, as the pieces that did not stick were never attached to the glue in the first place. Then I took my copic marker G07 and colored my stems. Why does all this work? It is because your wires are covered in paper so glue and ink both stick very easily. I then glued my pot down along the bottom and sides and let it dry. Once dry, I took a piece of purple ribbon and tied my newly created Flower Soft stems together and then added some Flower Soft glue inside the pot and inserted them. Once that was dried, I bent my Flower Soft wires around to arrange my floral arrangement and then twisted my ribbon and added little dots of Glue N Seal to hold the ribbon down in a few places and then cut the bottoms of my ribbon tails off to finish it all. (Glue N Seal-matte is awesome because if you have a little bleed out of the glue, when it dries you don’t have that shiny over glued look because it has a matte finish.) Here is a close up of my completed flower pot and hope all the bling is conveying well:
I then put a strip of ¼” Scor Tape down the right side of my page and sprinkled it with the same darker purple glitter I used in my Flower Soft floral arrangement and burnished it with my finger tip and then tapped off the excess to get that gorgeous glitter stripe down my page.
So for my next very fun thing to do, I took a product that is brand new to Cutters Creek, Cutters Creek Branded Flowers, and decided to use these in Color Me White Gardenias. I got out my Perfect Pearls Mists in Sunflower Sparkle & Forever Green. One thing I like about Perfect Pearls Mist is they have those mixing balls in them like nail polish, so you can shake the heck out of them, unlike Glimmer Mist. (If you own Glimmer Mist, you need to shake the bottle back and forth like a bell motion and not shake them to death, as you will get too much air in the bottle and will need to spray all that air out, which I do in my trash can when I get too impatient.) I took a Ranger workshop at CHA in January and Tim Holtz went over the Perfect Pearls Mist product and his message to us was don’t be afraid to commit! He was so right, as I tried this theory out. If you are timid and just press the plunger down a little bit, you get blotches. If you push that sucker all the way down, you get a wonderful mist! So anyway, I took two Color Me White Gardenias and spritzed one with Sunflower Sparkle and the other with Forever Green. I was pleased with both the color and the sparkle! And while each flower was still wet, I took out my copic marker V17 and touched the tip of it around the tips of each flower and each “touch” drew the color into the flower. For the one done in Forever Green, I also used that same copic to color the stamens on the flower. Once dried, I attached them to my page with Glue Dots. I think they turned out beautifully and you can see a close up here:
As a little final touch, I inked the edges of the entire page in a dark purple color to make the page “pop” when you open the album.
So although these instructions seem lengthy, I was multi-tasking through this whole project and except for drying time, it really took not much time at all!
I have had some people ask me to show off the remainging pages of my daughter and son in laws's wedding album. I have finally taken pictures of the rest of the album and will start loading them up here on my blog. These are the collage photos we did of the reception. Since my daughter came to visit me last year, I thought it would be a great idea to let her pick the photos to be included in these collages. Stay tuned, I will be adding more over the next few days!
Is anyone out there loving Disney Classics as much as I am? I remember all these movies from when I was a little girl and this cartridge just brings back warm and fuzzy memories for me. I cut some images from Bambi and they are just darling! Here is Thumper (I just adore Thumper!):
Isn't he just the cutest ever? And I also cut out Flower:
For the little white spot in Flower's eye, it was just the tiniest thing ever cutting this image at 5", so I used a white pen to add that detail. I figure, why frustrate myself...............lol! Now I need to think up some projects! Anyone else out there loving this cartridge too?
I love giving things away to my customers, and if you already shop at Cutters Creek and a member of my store yahoo group, you already know! Well Donna won the Designer Blue Cuttlebug from me and when she got it, she unpacked the box and snapped a picture. I wish she were in the picture too, however she was just so excited and I was so excited too! Here is her picture of her winnings! Congrats Donna! Thank you so much to all my customers who played along in my latest give away!
Well I do!! Here is my little grand daughter Jadelyn and oh, my! I just love, love, love her! I got to feed her today and it was so funny because I tried to snuggle her into my arm, however she wanted to sit up and eat. It was like feeding a baby goat, but way cuter................lol! I had her hold on to my fingers and she "toddled" around and saw my inside and outside birds. She smiled so much and is such a happy baby like when my children were little. I so can't wait to spend more time with my littlest girl and she will have me so wrapped around her cute little pinkie fingers in no time, however I do think that has already happend!!
I have been a Flower Soft lover since the day I received my first pot! It is inexpensive and so easy to use. If you can glitter, you can use Flower Soft, as it is that easy! Pictured is the front of my card that I made using Flower Soft.
