The eCraft by Craftwell............are you getting excited?!?!?!?

So, are you getting as excited as I am?!?!? I know we have a ways to go to wait to get these machines, but I am thinking about the eCraft by Craftwell more and more. I have been doing a lot of cutting lately and my mats are no longer sticky. I keep thinking I could be doing all these projects on the eCraft and not worry about stinking mats any more! I am so ready to put this new die cutting machine through the paces, I almost can't stand the wait.........lol! Alas, I still have a couple more months to wait, however I will be dreaming of it and about it until I can get my hot little hands on the newest gem (and maybe even the hottest) on the market! Don't forget, I have started a new Yahoo group dedicated to this machine, and so far there are three members (myself included) who will be Beta Testers, so you will be well informed.

I had to cut 50 of something for the wedding invitations I'm doing (still have 50 to go). I was thinking how nice it would be to stack up the paper behind the machine and it just pull the next piece when it was done with the one it was on. THAT would have been such a time saver. And oh yeah, my mat is quickly losing its stickiness and I'm afraid to start a new one because I don't want the adhesive coming off on the paper! So yes, I am getting excited. :-)

Unfortunately, Craftwell is no longer looking for Beta Testers. As the days go on, we are finding out more and more info and the eCraft looks like it is really going to have some cool features that will surpass the Cricut :)

Please join my yahoo group, if you have not already. There is a Craftwell employee in the group and is answering our questions and giving us some little hints ;) There are also five Beta Testers in the group.

Kim, do you have a link for the yahoo group? What is it called so I won't get a thousand hits for some other groups...you know how that can get. I can't wait for the eCraft! I am spreading the word but seems there are some wicked Cricuters out there are are dissing this before they have even seen it in action! I think they are jealous..teehee I am just thinking that this is going to be THE THING that will answer a lot of our problems when it comes with cutting machines. I don't have a Cricut but I borrow my gf's and I love it and have issues as well. The mat and blades are the main thing. I cut from thin vellum to ultra thick Club Scrap paper and it is a pain when the vellum sticks to the mat and when I need to change the blade for the Club Scrap paper. What kind of adjustments will need to be made when I switch over from one to the other? Is there a tension dial or something?

Here is the yahoo group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/eCraft_Crafters/

I think the eCraft is about to make the whole Cricut world implode.........lol! The machine automatically adjusts for your paper thickness, so you don't have to do anything, but load your paper!
